The Southern Sisters is composed of five established Drag Queens based in South Australia. They possess decades of experience between them, are all well renowned performers and are part of good community networks.
The Southern Sisters know their audiences. With their varied experiences and versatility, a show can be catered towards a crowd’s best interests whilst the troupe members maintain their uniqueness and distinguished charm.
The Southern Sisters are keen to bring their colour and glamour to any area!
Kristina International (Crème), also recognised in the community as Andrew B, helped forefront The Southern Sisters venture due to a recognised demand for quality drag entertainment to the South of Adelaide and established, good working relationships with the other troupe members (having worked together under Crème de la Crème Productions). Kristina has personally performed across Australia and the World, at The Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2016 and 2018 and an extended stay in Paris in 2017. She also recently took out the titles of Best in Talent and Best in Evening Gown and was awarded 2nd Runner Up at the 2109 Miss Gay Australia Pageant held in Melbourne.
Rita Demore’e takes the microphone at shows as the Mistress of Ceremonies. With a larger than life look and a personality to match; she’s a natural comedienne and was hailed the Queen of Hindley Street’s West End during the reign of Crème de la Crème Productions’ regular drag cabarets along the street. She is regarded as a Heart of the Adelaide drag scene.
Miss Molly has set up home in many States, but has always found herself back in Port Noarlunga. She relishes the Southern lifestyle and is prominent in the community. She’s regarded as Adelaide’s “drag artiste extraordinaire” (The Advertiser).
Ali Holic has recently returned from living and working in Victoria. With an otherworldly command on stage, she’s down to Earth when it comes to having a postshow drink with audiences.
Cherry Poppins has stepped in as a Southern Sister at our upcoming events. She is well known as one of the resident drag queens at The Mars Bar throughout it’s final years and is keen to venture out with the Southern Sisters troupe.
